Hair today gone tomorrow

So I found this tutorial on wefting hair. I tried it tonight using yarn instead of the mohair or whatever that is they've got going on in the tutorial. This was very quick and easy. Gotta love easy. And it was good for 20 minutes of middle school level humor with my husband. What is it about a wig, albeit teeny tiny, that brings out pubescent humor? Hilarity ensued. No one was hurt.

I tried a, ah, different approach that was interesting. I named it the hair hat. It, well, did not work. My Mom was over when I was trying it on the doll. I could tell it was a failure when she asked What's that? Hair? That's, ah, creative. How do you know what you're doing? I knew then I wouldn't continue down that path.
